dc.description.abstractProblema de estudo: A lesão do LCA é a lesão mais comum nas atletas basquetebolistas femininas, estas apresentam um risco de lesão na articulação do joelho 2-8 vezes superior ao sexo masculino devido a diversos fatores. Esta lesão contribui para o aumento do risco de outras, para o aumento do tempo de paragem desportiva, para o aumento de gastos monetários e, em casos extremos, para o fim de carreiras desportivas. A prevenção deste tipo de lesões é importante de forma a evitar e minimizar o seu acontecimento e as respetivas consequências. Este estudo irá focar-se num plano de prevenção para as lesões do LCA. Objetivo: Verificar se um programa de prevenção de lesões do LCA nas atletas portuguesas de basquetebol é mais eficaz para prevenir as mesmas quando aplicado na pré-época ou durante a época desportiva. Metodologia: A amostra será de 60 atletas basquetebolistas femininas do Clube de Basquetebol de Queluz (CBQ) - escalão sub16 e sub18. Serão divididas em dois grupos, um deles irá realizar um plano de prevenção de lesão de LCA durante seis semanas na pré-época desportiva e o segundo grupo irá realizar o mesmo plano, mas durante toda a época desportiva. Ambos os grupos realizarão o plano com uma periodicidade de três vezes por semana. Conclusões: Pretende-se comprovar o efeito do programa preventivo a testar no estudo, realçando a importância da prevenção para a fisioterapia e para o desporto português, nomeadamente o basquetebol feminino. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Purpose: The injury of ACL it's the most common injury in female basketball athletes, they present a risk of injury on the knee joint 2 to 8 times superior than males due to several factors. This injury contirbutes to the increase of the risk to other, to the raise of sports stop, to the raise of monetary expenses and, in extreme cases, to the end of a carreer. It’s very important the focus on preventing this type of injuries to avoid and minimize them and respective consequences. So this study will be focusing on a prevention plan to ACL injuries. Aims: Verify if an ACL injury prevention program in portuguese basketball female athletes is more effective when applied during the pre-season or during the whole season. Method: The sample will be composed of 60 female basketball players from the Clube de Basquetebol de Queluz (CBQ) - sub16 and sub18. They will be divided into two groups, one of them will perform an ACL injury prevention plan for six weeks in the pre-season and the second group perform the same plan but throughout the whole season. Both groups will perform the plan three times a week. Conclusion: It is intended to prove the effect of the preventive program to be tested in the study, highlighting the importance of prevention to physiotherapy and to portuguese sports, namely female basketball.pt_PT
